Building Project
Dear Friend:

We bring greetings to you from the Ebenezer Community Church. Ebenezer is a church-planting mission to thousands of Liberian immigrants residing in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. The church exists to be a body of believers that love God, care for each other and are on mission at home and abroad.

Over the past six years, God has helped Ebenezer to accomplish her mission through the following:
. Adult ministry
. Bible study & prayer meeting
. Children’s church ministry
. Counseling: pre-marital, marriage, family & crisis
. Marriage Enrichment Ministry
. Music Ministry
. Prayer Warriors’ Ministry
. Sunday School
. Vacation Bible School (held once a year- we had 100
kids attend our last VBS we had (some of these kids
and parents are now members of Ebenezer)
. Youth ministry

Ebenezer now has a membership of 396 and averaging over 250 in worship attendance & children’s church. The success God has given this new church has not been void of challenges. Paramount among these challenges is the lack of an edifice to permanently house our congregation and execute our vision to its fullest. We have moved four times in six years due to our rapid growth. We currently worship in a high school auditorium.

With a membership now nearing four hundred, the need for an edifice cannot be over emphasized. Three out of the five Sundays in April, we had to hastily close down worship service because the high school where we worship had activities scheduled. On April 22nd, we had 100 kids in our children’s church. There were as many as 62 in one classroom and 38 inthe other. In the wake of this challenge, the ministry demands, the potential this church has and great evangelistic opportunities before us, we have been determined to build.

About three years ago, we purchased a 4.3-acre land at a cost of $745,000.00 in Brooklyn Park, MN with the hope of constructing an edifice that will house this church and its ministries. This brochure you hold in your hand carries the photo of the building to be constructed on the land. It will be 33,264 square feet, and it will have a sanctuary, offices, educational space and a multipurpose gymnasium.

We have worked hard with our architect, engineers and general contractors to keep the project at or under 3.5 million dollars. Our greatest challenge at the moment is to secure a construction loan to get the construction on the go scheduled for this summer.

Between now and June, our young congregation of predominantly immigrants will have to raise about a million dollars to qualify for a loan. This is a great challenge! Those of you who have followed Ebenezer over the years can attest that God has brought us a mighty long way. We are excited!

In the wake of this challenge, we have decided to fast, pray, and give sacrificially as a congregation. We invite all of our friends, Christian brothers and sisters in North America and other parts of the world to believe God for a miracle on our behalf. Nothing short of a miracle can take us over this challenge. We also invite you to partner with us financially as God moves your heart. We might be able to beat our challenge in no time were you to prayerfully partner with us. Come on board!

The ministry of Ebenezer has significantly impacted our community and beyond. Besides Liberians, Ebenezer has begun ministering to other nationals. We now have seven nations represented in our congregation: Cameroon, Jamaica, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and USA. Many marriages and family relationships have been healed, restored, and strengthened. Scores of people have come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Some of our people have found direction, meaning and purpose for their lives

through the ministry of Ebenezer. Ebenezer ministers
to those who are hopeless, hurting, and severely traumatized by their experiences from the civil war. Ebenezer provides ministry and support whenever there is an opportunity. It ranges from crises at school, to immigration proceedings, court hearings, hospital, bereavement, job acquisition, etc.

When you have partnered with us and this building is built, we will be able to expand our evangelistic outreach by providing community-based ministries that are culturally sensitive such as:
1.       Adult literacy program (This is a great need in our community. Some of those who migrated to the USA were out of school for 13 years during the civil war.)
2.       After school/tutorial program (especially for those with deficiency in English & math)
3.       Cultural diversity orientation (to help reduce cultural conflict)
4.       Day care
5.       Family enrichment programs
6.       Food & clothes closet (especially for newly arriving immigrants)
7.       HIV/AIDS awareness programs
8.       Job application/interview orientation
9.       Mentoring program to help shield our youth from gangs.

The building will provide a sense of stability for our congregation. As mentioned earlier, we have moved four times in six years due to our rapid growth. The building will increase a sense of community and security for our congregation. Our growth will greatly increase. We may reach our goal of a thousand members earlier than ten years. We will also be able to provide worship service during the week for those in our community who cannot attend worship service on Sunday due to work schedule.

Would you kindly consider a generous donation to help make this vision a reality?

The return on your investment into the Kingdom of God will be far greater than you can imagine.
What dollar amount canyou place when African boys and girls who have migrated to this nation from war torn countries, come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at Ebenezer Community Church, and be disciple to become fine Christian men and women?

All gifts to Ebenezer are tax deductible.

When you give to Ebenezer you are also doing missions, or being missionaries right within your borders.

Kindly increase our excitement by letting us hear from you.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support!

In Christ’s love,
Francis Tabla

Purpose
Ebenezer Community Church exists to be a body of believers that love God, care for each other, and are on mission at home and abroad.

Mission
The mission of Ebenezer is to serve God in our community by celebrating His goodness through joyful worship, leading unbelievers to personal faith in Christ and to become baptized members of the church fellowship, nurturing them to become faithful disciples, equipping them to become effective ministry servants, and training them to become intentional witnesses through evangelism and missions.

Dear Jallah,
We have assisted and continue to assist pastors and their ministries in Liberia, and we have also supported the Grace Gospel Mission School in Paynesville, Liberia. We also give to missions work all over the world through our contributions to the organizations that we belong to, so you see we are not just about building a building but being a Church as well.

i appreciate the good things that are happening in the Ebenezer church but it will be good if there were plans by Rev. Tabla and members of that church to do some projects over in liberia. you know , there are lots of our brothers and sister in liberia that are not in school for several reasons and comming from war, it would be good if liberians in the diaspora could come togethr and help rebuild liberia.
